“Attention Investors….If You’ve Spent Any Time Accumulating Wealth, It’s Likely That You’ve Burned Through A ‘Financial Advisor’ or ‘Financial Planner’ In The Past (Maybe More Than Once) Only To Be Disappointed With The Results Today….
We Want To Work Hard To Give You A Different Experience!”
Dear Concerned Investor,
Have you ever had a meeting with a financial adviser or financial planner only to leave the table wondering if the recommendations being offered by the “advisor” where really in your best interest?
This is a common concern we hear from many investors. The worst part is that these concerns are often justified.
Believe it or not, ‘financial planning’ today is many times the source of much of the anxiety and distress that people feel in their financial lives.
“How could this be,” you might ask. “It only seems logical that I would hire a financial planner or financial adviser to escape my worries about finances and money.”
The potential problem lies in the way many of these financial plans are carried out.
Please don’t mistake what we’re suggesting here… there are many caring and qualified professionals that perform a very good service for their clients. But, unfortunately, we live in a world today where….
The Financial Plan ITSELF Has Become A Commodity
Think about it.
How many times have you been approached by a financial advisor with an offer to put together a financial plan for FREE? It happens all the time, and…
Unfortunately, these ‘financial plans’ are often used as a marketing tool simply to sell financial products. The plan is many times manipulated to create fear, pain, and anxiety. Why? To generate commissions for the ‘financial adviser’ based on their recommendations.
The individual investor working with the planner generally has little way of knowing whether the recommendations are truly in their best interest or rather in the best interest of the adviser. They also have little way of knowing whether the products could have been obtained elsewhere at a lower cost.
Clients Are Our Priority, Not Products
Financial products are absolutely necessary in implementing strategies to achieve financial goals. But, we are NOT financial product salesmen.
We are a fee-based, Registered Investment Advisory firm. Our registration with the state of Texas holds us to the highest level of fiduciary responsibilities to our clients. The distinction between a financial adviser with a fiduciary interest and a salesperson is crucial.
Fiduciaries must always provide services and advice in the best interests of their client; whereas, salespeople may have their own (or their company’s own) motives and interests at heart when offering goods and services for a price. A fiduciary must serve the client; if necessary, at the cost of the fiduciary’s own interests.
That’s us.
