| The designation "CEIAS"
or "Certified Equity Indexed Annuity
Specialist" is conferred by the
Association of Insurance & Financial
Specialists. It is an indication
that your advisor is very knowledgeable
about the EIA: How it is constructed,
and how it earns its interest.
But more than that,
this designation being conferred on an
insurance professional reflects that
they have completed a comprehensive
course of study which taught them to
properly compare, analyze and present
the EIA to consumers, using unbiased
financial analysis methods and
comprehensive software tools.
You can review the
CEIAS Brochure to see what they had
to learn.
Designees also have to
abide by a
Code of Ethics, and are required to
complete continuing education every year
to remain Certified.
While the CEIAS
designation does not replace other more
comprehensive financial education
courses, it is a specialty that is
earned and adds a valuable assurance
that any recommended EIA products will
conform to high standards.
EIA Specialists have been trained to
conduct some very comprehensive analysis
of EIA products, and the way they earn
or "credit" interest to you. This
includes historical hypotheticals (using
past history) and Monte Carlo Simulation
(mathematics to project future
probability).
You may expect to see analysis
reports that include:
- Hypothetical Retirement Plan
Analysis
- Monte Carlo Retirement Plan
Analysis
- EIA Credit Method Rating
report
Many other possible reports could be
created just for your needs. |
